Barbara Parent has grown up in Vero Beach having moved here with her family in 1958. Barbara and her husband, Richard, her high school sweetheart, have three children, four grandchildren, and a rescue dog, Benji.
Barbara earned her Real Estate license in 1979 and has been in various positions since then:
• Director of Sales at Bermuda Club, an upscale barrier island
development
• Broker, Grand Harbor, a golf/boating/beach community
• The Carlton and River Club at Carlton, upscale barrier island
developments
• Consistent top producer in general real estate
She is a past vice president and past treasurer of the Realtors Association of Indian River County and has served on the Budget, MLS, Grievance (Chairman) and Nominating committees.
Barbara’s history in Vero Beach, her attention to detail and her gift for organization and follow through have made her a top producer in Indian
River County.
Involvement in the community is one thing Barbara feels is of great importance. She is ten-year member and currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Exchange Club of Indian River. She recently participated in the Relay for Life and Day of Caring and is active in the Habitat for Humanity projects to mention just a few that help make her community a better place to live.
Barbara is an enthusiastic supporter of the VBHS girl’s lacrosse team. She has been an accomplished fund raiser for Childcare Resources of Indian River and is a Past President of Phi Beta Psi, a service sorority whose purpose is to raise funds for doctors who do cancer research. She also put her skills to work for The Junior League of Indian River and is a past president of the Jasmine Circle of the Garden Club of Indian River.
Barbara looks forward to continuing to work with buyers and sellers on their real estate journey and introducing the newcomers among them to the Vero Beach community that she loves.
